Team Reflection
All of our teammates were very invested in our idea due to the fact that we came up with the idea to make a casino together. Also, we were able to communicate very well because we knew each other outside of school and had many ways of communication (discord, facetime, etc.). Overall, I believe that our group was able to complete our project efficiently while splittng the work load evenly amongst ourselves.
Glows and Grows
- Glows: Our presentations were ran very smoothly and all the functions that we presented worked when we needed them to. We encountered no errors during our demo and all the people we presented to seemed happy with the results of our project.
- Grows: Next time, we could organize the order in which we present our project or who presents which features differently. Because we only had one computer to present on, only one group member at a time presented to a person and we swapped off. Next time we could all have our computers with different features open and that way all group members could present to the viewers at the same time consistently.
Feedback for future additions
Some feedback that we recieved on our project was to implement more visual animation into the rest of our games. one of the only games that had animattion was the race game and the slots machine. Next time, we could try animating the moving dice and the blackjack card to make the viewer more invested in our project. We could also have added an animation of casino lights throughout the project to further immerse viewers into the casino simulator.

Night at the Museum
The event was overall very fun and it ran very smoothly. Our group was seated in an open corner where people were very easily coming up to see our project. I think that the visual aspects of our project and the casino theme really appealed to the adults that we were presenting to. I was happy to see how we could present to these people the objective of our project and the negative aspect of gambling which was the main point we were trying to make in the creation of our simulator.
Something in Compsci that I liked
One thing that I saw in compsci during the night at the museum presentations was the mario game that someone had made. This game looked very much like mario, and this project even had the sound effects from the game depending on marios actions which really impressed me. I also liked how the animation was very similar to the one from the first pixelated iteration of super mario bros.
Something outside of Compsci that I liked
One thing that really impressed me outside of compsci were the fine arts projects. The ceramics projects, in particular, had a lot of detailed sculptures, mugs, and vases that were all painted and glazed. My personal favorite was an airplane project created by a student. This plane was so big yet so detailed which blew me away, knowing how much time these types of projects take.
